as i listened from my grandfather, sakkanwali was called \'\'sager de sakkan wali\'\'
Sager is guy ages ago before he had four son who make this village...
few years before there is only sand and agriculture was depend on rain
but time is changed anyway now sakkan wali is one of the developed town in punjab
educated people. Simple living, passion for politic in every single person.
some time fight for election and all together for respect of sakkanwali.
Two gurudwaras  in village.There is everything in this village-(aero system,dashmesh club gym,primary&secondry school,narega bhawan,copt society,clean&hard roads,grain market,sevrage system is well)
